this last weekend around 9th and Aberdeen a car had its window smashed out by a projectile. If anyone knows anything please contact the police.This incident could have injured a baby or child if they had been sitting by the window.We have disabled neighbors in this area and small children, lets protect them. As a community we must get involve to reduce crime like this, please it could be you or one of your loved ones next.

Mischief to Property  
 
At 2:23 PM, a complaint was received that something had shattered the side window of a vehicle at the intersection of 9th St. and Aberdeen Ave. At 2:32 PM, a second complaint was received that an o:bject had hit a vehicle at the same intersection causing a small dent to the side door. It is believed that some form of projectile was launched from near the intersection that caused the damage in both case. The incidents remain under investigation and it is asked that anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at the time to contact police.

And then this is from October 9th, but their is no mention if the suspect is also involved in the incident on Saturday.  
 
Breach of Recognizance and Possess Break-in Instruments:  
 
Early Monday morning at 1:14am, Police had been dispatched to the area of 9th Street and Richmond Avenue in response to several complaints of unknown suspects throwing rocks at cars causing damage. Police located a male in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue carrying a backpack containing a set of bolt cutters and set of keys with a sticker on the fob. Police learnt the male was on a Recognizance Order, from Winnipeg, and was in breach of his curfew. A 22yr old Brandon man was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre for Court in the morning.

What if it was an accident. Some kids were throwing somthing and it overshot and broke the window. We don't really know if they had a malicious intent

Are there even any kids living in the that area that are old enough or string enough to launch something to blow put a window and dent a car??

October 8th there was a young adult trying to break into locked vehicles in the back lanes from 9th and Richmond.

I'm surprised to see this, because I had something hit my car in that same area on Saturday! It was late at night and I didn't see anyone. But something hit my passenger door while I was driving towards the traffic circle there.  
 
I made it to my friend's house and checked my car for any dents and, sure enough, there's a new little dent on the door. Again, it was really dark and the damage was minimal so I wasn't sure if I should make a report with so little information to go on.  
 
Good to hear that they were caught the next day. I thought I was just being paranoid thinking that it could be someone hiding in the bushes and throwing stones at passing cars. Never underestimate how shitty some people can be, I guess.

at about 1037 pm Saturday night north of the intersection of 9th and Aberdeen. I was able to locate the rock (about baseball size). Police were contacted and MPI has waived the deductible on the damage claim as they state the offender was located.

The thing is, the person arrested was never charged with any offences related to the throwing of the rocks at vehicles, so he could of been the one responsible or just happened to be in the area at the time when police were dispatched to the area and police checked him when they were doing their patrols. Likely there wasn't enough evidence to prove he was responsible. If rocks keep being thrown at vehicles or any other property in that area or any area it definitely should be reported as some as possible.
