Yes, there are bad actors who have been disobeying the rules and it's at least partially responsible for where we are, but after the lead the government's taken, on some levels I can't blame them too much.
Pallister says he "stole Christmas", but he didn't do it in Oct/Nov. He did it in July. And now he gets international press coverage as being a "good leader" because he cried during a new conference (again).
I'm not denying the message was absolutely correct, but it feels pretty disingenuous considering how we got to this point.
