I have to say that this Christmas has actually been a good one for me. It's given me time to appreciate the reason for the season. I'm not stressed about making a lot of food and dainties for everyone's likes and dislikes. I don't have to make breakfast while trying to get things ready for supper.  
 
Of course I miss watching the kids and grandkids open their gifts. I did get them all dropped off safely tho.  
 
I'm looking forward to a better 2021 when we can get back to normal, but in the meantime I'll do my part and not worry about what I cannot change. I have learned to adapt and did some curbside/online shopping etc. It went ok but I did have a few mistakes so I prefer to go to the store to look, that'll just have to wait til next year now tho. Things aren't going to open up any faster by worrying and being annoyed at everything so we might as well hunker down and 'er done. Imagine it's -40 with a wind chill and stay home, man I hate those nose hair icicles lol. We're strong Manitobans and we can do this. I have faith in my fellow man.  
 
I know it's been hard on a lot of people, my family i:ncluded, but I think most of us can agree that...  
 
Thank God we aren't in the USA.

Totally less stress this Christmas as well.  
Did absolutely no shopping, put money on kids utility bills instead as a present. "And yes they appreciated it as it was a way bigger amount than if a gift was bought.

Things have been different this year and we have learned to adjust, yes there are a few who figure they are above the law and won't listen to what needs to be done.  
There was no family gathering here this year, my daughter sent home for me and hubby perogies/cabbage rolls and dainties. All my kids celebrated at their own homes this year. We did video chat with the grandkids to see what Santa got them but all in all it was a nice Christmas......it's better than the alternative of not being here to enjoy what we could!
