Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes are now available at the local dollar stores and can also be picked up from 8:30 to 4:30 at Calvary Temple Church, 620 - 34th Street. 204-728-8500  
 
This year the shoeboxes from Manitoba will be distributed to children in Nepal, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Haiti.  
 
There is also an additional shipment going to the Ukraine.Those boxes will be labeled specifically for the Ukraine.  
 
If you are a business, group or church that would like to participate in helping distribute and collect these gift boxes please contact me directly.  
 
We know that there are many opportunities to bless locally and we know Brandon is a giving community. We hope this year you will consider packing a shoebox for a child in one of these nations. For most of these children, your shoebox is the first gift they will ever receive.  
 
Collection Week is November 13th to 19th and the collection centre for Westman is Calvary Temple Church 620 34th Street.
