We recently rented a car from Thrifty Car Rental in the U.S. The guy I had to deal with was agressive, pushy, and a fear monger, almost demanding you buy thier extra insurance coverage, even though I had MPI car rental insurance. He had me doubting I had the coverage I needed, and in the end my rental fee doubled in cost. I made a formal complaint, but I may as well have been talking to a brick wall. I informed the person I was talking to that I would tell evryone I could to stay away from Thrifty, so here goes: if anyone out there is considering renting a car, my advise is to stay away from Thrifty.  
We used Enterprise previously and they were excellent.
