Unit Costs

You would need to figure out your unit costs and then compare. For example, if the candy you want is $1.25 for a 100g package, then your unit cost is $1.25/100g. Superstore may sell the same package for $3.00 for a 250g package, which makes your unit cost $1.20/100g (300/250*100). Bulk Barn usually sells items by weight, so the cost per 100g is usually indicated right on the bin.
You will need to do a bit of homework to figure out the best price. I would suggest start with Bulk Barn because the unit price is already done for you and it gives you a baseline to work from. Then check the other stores and calculate your unit price.
One thing about dollar store candy however, is that I find that it's either inferior quality OR it's old. Not always, but you do need to be careful. With Bulk Barn, you're likely going to get a better-quality product. So that's something to consider as well, if that's going to be a factor for you.
Good luck and congrats on your wedding!
