As part of a school project my group and I are exploring the Ukrainian culture. I am specifically looking for information on spirituality and health practices. Any information or resources people can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!!

You could try contacting the Ukrainian Orthodox church and the Ukrainian Catholic (St. Mary's) Church in Brandon. You could also try the Troyanda Ukrainian Dance club in Brandon. They have a website.

Some Ukrainian cookbooks i:nclude tidbits of information about cultural and religious customs related to food preparation. Christmas and Easter, in particular.

When my mom's side of the family moved here from Ukraine in the early 1900's (some came even before that in the later 1800's) My grandparent's "spirituality" was Orthodox. Most people from Ukraine (and those still living there) are either Orthodox or Catholic. And what kind of health practices are you interested in knowing? Home remedies? I can tell you we use garlic for everything and some people will say garlic and vodka cure everything and anything You can inbox me if you have any other questions.

At the christening infants receive an exorcism, sacrament of baptism and sacrament of confirmation. As compared to Christian Catholic would receive sacrament of Confirmation at approx age 13.
