Many years ago one of the bars in Brandon used to have a gay night. I have been told this doesn’t exist anymore.
How do LGBTQ* people in the Brandon area (single or otherwise) find each other now? (For more than just what Grindr offers) There has to be many of all ages in a town this size.
I know there is a night once a month at SERC but it is all ages & I (being over 40) am not comfortable “hanging out” with a group that is primarily younger or children.
(I am glad they have this though). I know ACC & BU have groups, but again, a very small age range and not accessible to non-students.
I am thinking about starting an LGBTQ* + Ally group (18+) so that the community can have a venue to meet & interact more than just at Pride.
What are people’s thoughts on that?
(Yes, I accept negative thoughts as well but must comply with eBrandon’s code of conduct)
