out of a bad relationship and now what?

hi im just out of a 5 year bad realationship..it was abusive and he walked on me quite a bit...as a result i dont have much people and contacts to talk to and just read to move on and meet new people, im just not sure how to go about this... im only 21 and i have a two year old daughter and i feel this changes things a bit.... im just curious on how i get back out there??
