Broken Heart..

So I was recently dumped from a very long relationship, we ended on okay terms but I'm still crazy in love with him. It's been about 2 months since we broke up now and I find myself just as upset now as I was before after a period of being not to bad.. Does your heart ever really heal? Will we always carry such strong emotions for our first true love? Or is it more you just move on, find someone else to love and always carry the first person in your heart?
