A candidate publicly intoxicated and taking drugs?
9/18/2010 at 2:13 PM
O'Connor's column in today's Brandon Sun talks about a recently-taken video they have of a candidate publicly intoxicated and taking drugs of some sort. He says that he won't name the candidate, but he warns the candidate to smarten up.
Does anybody think he should name the candidate? Isn't that what newspapers do?
Isn't there a public interest in knowing if a candidate is a drunk and doing drugs?
Isn't it against the law to possess illegal drugs?
Do we really want that kind of person as mayor, on city council or a school trustee?
Because he didn't name the candidate, is it fair to all the other candidates that people will be guessing who the drunk drug user actually is?
What do you guys think?
