Always Carry Cash
7/13/2018 at 3:43 PM
Countless times, both in my previous retail experience, and in every-day life, I en-counter many people who figure cash is silly. "Who carries it?" "What's the point?".
I'll tell you the point. Both in previous work, and just standing in line, have I seen technological issues, and power outages throw off the entire business operation. People just die when they can't use their precious "Visa". People, wake up. It's electronics, they glitch and mess up. But if the register's open, or if they just don't have their card machines working, then guys like me just strut up to the front of the line with confidence, because cash IS king!
Not to mention the smaller, but countless venues and places where it's cash only. Garage sales, farmers' markets, smaller private stores and shops. And simply because it's physical. Little kids learn money, value, and simple addition that way. And adults (or any regular spenders) can physically see their money going away when they spend it, rather than using cards all day long, and not realizing every blink is $100.00, and in 20 minutes equalling $400.00, then wonder where all their money went.
See what I'm saying?
