It's that spooky time of year...  
I want to hear your suggestions for your favourite/best Halloween or Horror movies! Anything from the usual classics (Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street...) to new gems, kids movies to rated R.. anything in between.  
 
Let me start with my personal favourites:  
Halloween (original) and Halloween II  
American Mary  
Pet Semetary  
The Shining

The Shining is my all time favourite.  
 
A newer one that gives me the creepy crawlies is "The Babadook". Of course I also love the "Saw Series", more of a thriller than a horror, though.

All of the above...but I found Trick 'r' Treat to be pretty good too. It's an anthology of short horror stories. Pretty creepy and good

I love horror movies! Pretty much anything.  
 
I watched Happy Death Day in the theatre when it first came out. Now I don’t know if my tastes are changing but I really really liked it! Not your traditional scary movie but I really liked it. Lol

My favourite is definitely Hocus Pocus I only watch it during Halloween!

As I get older, the more scared I get but the other half loves scary movies so I do watch them from time to time....but always need a happy movie after them!! Lol  
 
The new IT was good (have never seen the original tho)  
 
Pet Sematary scares the bejesus outta me (the part where the wife remembers her sister...instant nightmare for me!!) but I do wanna watch the remake next year  
 
Texas chainsaw massacre...to this day, the sound of a chainsaw makes me pee a little  
 
The grudge scares me (basically any time there is an oddly crippled or deformed person, I’m scared! Haha)  
 
I prefer more thriller/suspense movies like the purge movies instead of the in your face scary movies

Trick r Treat is the ultimate Halloween movie! It gives me all the Halloween feels.

Can anyone suggest a Halloween movie that's NOT scary? My kids want to watch one, but find Disney movies "too scary", LOL.

I personally love Casper, and Hocus Pocus! Or any of the Halloweentown movies (Disney). There’s a couple of animated ones called the Halloween tree and Scary godmother 1&2, that aren’t too bad. It’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown is also a fave. Or pooh’s heffalump Halloween movie.
