Small Kitchen appliance disposal

I have a couple of kitchen appliances that are done but I hate the thought of just throwing them in the garbage. Is there a proper way to dispose of toasters and coffee grinders or is the garbage the only way?

Are they in working order? Or have they quit?

If they still work, see if the Re-Fit Store at 23 12th Street will take them. Otherwise, the electronic recycle at the city dump.
