I am wondering if anyone knows if shilo still has a trig marker for Captain Nichola Goddard? Where is it located and will a civilian be able to see it?

Hubby works out here and this was his answer when I asked him.

Trig Markers are on the Shilo Ranges which is controlled by Range Control. Access is through them, but that doesn't mean that is where her Trig Marker is.

I know this does not help in the location - but a little google story:

Trig Goddard. In November 2006, her colleagues at CFB Shilo dedicated a trig marker on the base to Nichola in a ceremony attended by more than 600 soldiers (A trig marker is a survey point that fixes one’s location and orientation and is used for navigation). Trig Goddard would serve as a constant reminder of Nichola’s sacrifice. Captain Sean Tremblay wrote, “By naming one of these markers after Nichola we will be using the memory of our friend, and of her sacrifice, to help us fix our path as we try to make moral decisions just actions, to guide us and help us keep doing what is good and right.”

Thank you Brenda. I didn't know what a trig marker was and Google wasn't much help when I tried looking it up. I appreciate the additional info you provided.
