We are looking at moving from our house to a Condo. Currently considering Village Greens or Renaissance Station. Any opinions or info on either of these that we need to consider?

From a house to a condo? No

A condo is good if you don’t like to be tied down with yard work etc. If you look around Brandon lots of people should consider a condo or apt as they can not or don’t want to keep their dwellings and yard up either cannot afford to or no ambition. So to me it makes sense to go to a condo.

After your done your mortgage. You still have condo fees ontop of your property taxes. It’s like paying rent forever

You are better off and will be further ahead if you put away your own budget for condo fees. You would have more money left over than giving it to someone else.

Condos are the same. I'm in a condo and like it but my best friend is in a condo and is not happy, although the condo itself if nice, there are problems with the Board. Some boards are great and some don't have a clue what they are doing. Yes you still pay taxes and there are condo fees but you will save in other areas such as insurance and some utilities. What I recommend is look into the operation of the condo management and board as well as how the reserve fund is monitored before you buy.
