Hello people.
Just curious on how difficult it is to get an conditional license or work permit due to a 4 month driving suspension. Has anyone had to go through this process.

Takes about 6-8 weeks to hear back from Mpi to schedule a date once your paperwork is in, then another couple weeks before you go in front of a panel (not sure how you would do that currently anyways), then another couple weeks before you hear back. You have to prove you need your license for work and why you’ve changed your ways.
Honestly for only 4 months I wouldn’t bother with the process.

Agreed with previous reply, for four months I wouldn’t bother with the process. A coworker took almost half a year to finally get her driving permit set up. Considering all non essential court has been cancelled.. I doubt traffic court is high on a list of priorities even when things do start moving again. There will be so much back log.

Thanks for the replies. I have sent a appeal to driver fitness to see if they will just wave the suspension due to needing license and current situation with partner having no work so hopefully they will give me a chance. Was just curious with the process in case they won’t. My license is essential to my job and without it, I probably couldn’t work

it goes beyond just driving to and from work. Probably operates a truck or equipment that requires a licence.

Did you have a show cause hearing or did they just mail you a letter stating the date of suspension?
