After trying to get my tank filled and being unsuccessful in this endeavour, I decided to see if Brandon SCUBA club existed anymore, sadly not.  
 
I’m wondering if there is anyone around interested in getting together in the Westman area for dive days/weekends.  
 
Maybe if there is enough interest, we could eventually look into getting an air compressor for the group.

It's nice to meet fellow divers. My dive season is at a pause right now as harvest is starting up, but keep in touch and I'd be curious about the compressor idea.

I may have a few scuba tank compressors for sale. Shut down the business a few years ago but kept the compressors incase I decided to start up again but that’s not happening because I’ve moved onto other hobbies.

Is anyone giving lessons for beginners? Where does one start?

You do your course online now then pick a dive shop to do the hands on training with. There is no local shop anymore. Winnipeg or Regina

I took my Basic Open Water through C&L Scuba when Ed and Elaine Reismeyer were running it. I was sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I know that their daughter and son in law Brian ran it for a while but unfortunately, no longer do,  
 
Yes, right now the nearest place to get air or training are Winnipeg or Regina. Kinda sad for us not to have any better access. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel with Kimmies reply. Let’s keep this thread going so that maybe we can get a dive or two in this summer. I hear Seech Lake has very good visibility.  
 
By the way, I’ve recently done business with Under World SCUBA and Sport and am happy with how they’ve treated me.

Hi all, I was able to get a line on a SCUBA air compressor. It’s not cheap but I was hoping if there are enough people in the Westman area interested, we could buy it as a co-op. There is also the potential to make some money with it and eventually it would hopefully pay for itself.  
 
The cost is not prohibitive but it’s a fairly substantial invest for one person. If we could find a group to get together on it, it would be much more convenient than driving to Winnipeg or Regina each time we want a tank filled.  
 
Apparently, it takes about ten minutes to fill a tank.

We could possibly be interested, having a difficult time finding a lot of people in Brandon who dive!!!

I am interested. I contemplated buying one but the cost was a little prohibitive so decided against it. I'd be willing to cost share if the interest is there shoot me a pm with the details. Thanks!

Did you check Shilo? The last time I spoke to Stream and Wood about this I was told that they offered lessons in Shilo.

C&L in Cottonwoods has been closed since roughly 2014. Kimmie34, poster from above was the former owner.

Hi all, I dont know how to PM on here. If someone could walk me through it, I’d be happy to send/receive pm’s and hopefully get the process started so that we can all enjoy scuba in this area again!

Don’t forget you need your tanks inspected and you need a Visual done.

Well, interest seems to have died down for this subject. If any of you are still interested in buying a compressor as a co-op with me from Kimmie, let me know. As of this point though it appears that the subject is closed.  
Maybe next spring we can revisit it.
