Anyone ever had this scenario I would like to live in the country but do not drive any ideas , thoughts suggestions , solutions as to what might work .

I'm dreaming perhaps is to be close enough to a town , city that a cab / taxi could come get me .  
I'm not into fancy places , on disability .  
just always wanted a few laying hens ,cat , dog  
I don't want to live with anyone .  
Asking for to much I suppose .

I think you should rethink this. You said your on disability. So what happens when your pet gets sick or hurt. Taxi??? Can you clear snow or cut the grass. Or will you pay to have that done. We live in the country. We also have great neighbors. Don’t assume that everyone will help. Just know the pro and cons.

Most small towns don’t have taxis so it would be hard to find a rural property where a taxi will drive to.

In the country all my life and not far out of town either. Living on disability and unable to drive I think that you may face severe hardship and difficulty. A more practical alternative for you may be to find a smaller town that still has hospital, grocery stores, financial institutions etc within walking distance . Even then though with no bus services that occasional necessary trip into Brandon could create problems . On the other hand if you can figure these things out and deal with the extra work required, living in the country provides a far healthier lifestyle, but not easier.

This just sounds bad, bad, bad right across the board.  
 
Are you able to drive a Ride on lawn mower or snowblower? An acreage/ farm/ country life is a lot of work.  
 
And meal planning is really important too. You can't just run to the grocery store if the roads aren't plowed or if they are closed.  
 
Are you social? Your buddies won't just pop in for coffee often.  
 
This lifestyle is not for me at all! This lifestyle may not be for you either. Think it through.

I used to live only 10 minutes from the city and unexpectedly lost my ability to drive. Things got depressing and extremely difficult quick! I really wouldn’t recommend it. Unfortunately with being unable to drive the cons outweighed the benefits of living in the country. Though, if you have someone you can rely on 99% of the time for a ride then go for it!

rivers and minnedosa have taxi services and brandon taxis will drive people all over as well as pick them up. there is also the handi van services in small communities which are fabulous for people with mobility, or disabilities. the op sounds like shes wanting to be more on the outskirts of town as opposed to in a small community for the animals mentioned. so the best bet for drives is to call the taxi companies and discuss a flat fee for usage with them, most are really good for people who are regulars.  
but another persons comment about lawn care and snow removal was a huge deterrent for a lot of people i know wanting to do the same thing.

Killarney has a taxi too.
