I am looking for places to volunteer, I have time some weekends, and some evenings. I haven't volunteered before, so I'm hoping to get some ideas of where to start looking. thank you

Ashley Neufeld Softball Complex is always looking for volunteers on weekends from June to end of August in the canteen. If interested please email tjnay@mymts.net. Thanks for being a volunteer.

Pretty well any community centre is looking for volunteers for the winter months. Whether helping out with the ice, cleaning snow or helping out with the clubhouse unlocking it for the kids to put on their skates.

Thats great that you want to volunteer your time and skills.
The Legion always needs volunteers for the meat draws/Chase the Ace. They can also use some extra hands at Bingo - selling tickets, Nevada tickets, and doing call backs on the winning bingo cards. If you are interested give the office a call at 204-728-5026.

Oh I forgot I wanted to mention, it’s not volunteering because you’d get paid but have you considered doing respite?

A friend of mine has 3 young kids who is looking for someone to spend time with them. There is a shortage of respite workers though. There’s also many different reasons why a family or person may need respite and I’m sure there are a few others who are looking for respite workers

Evans Theatre , at BU, run by volunteers of the Brandon Film Festival shows movies Fri- Sun. and always welcomes volunteers: Box Office & concession help , projection.

If you like movies....We only show movies on weekends and you benefit from being able to watch our movies for free. People can volunteer at box taking tickets or concession selling Bars drinks & popcorn and as projectionist. Contact me at 204-818-3636 I'm Ken
