Anyone who knows anything about wood pellet stoves???

I have questions that so far I am unable to get answers too. I am told that these stoves are very efficient for home heating.
I have phoned around, and know so far that one 40lb bag is only running around 5 dollars, what I dont know, is,
how many times do you fill them up?
how long does a bag last(using stove as main heat source)?
What do you have to do to maintain pellet stoves?
