My mother had blue cross and ended up in the hospital in Arizona.while she was there, the hospital called blue cross and they said yes. Then after mom got home, she got a bill for $10 000 saying blue cross denied it because it was a pre existing condition that she hadn't even been diagnosed with. Luckily she had the money to pay. " |

Call a broker or the insurance company. And if you can, record the conversation or at the very least get them to back up the conversation in writing (in case there are legal issues with recording)
From what I have read, pregnancy is a pre existing condition that will be denied if there is any issue.
Remember that insurance companies are a business that are out to cover their bottom lines. They are looking for any and all reasons to keep their costs down, so make sure you know all the fine print.
I just read a story on one of the news sites where a man who saved up for years to go to (Cuba?), broke his wrist hours after getting off the plane. His insurance company denied his claim of less than $1000 because he had had an alcoholic drink when he got there - it was in the fine print that if they had any alcohol at all claims would be denied. Pathetic huh? He was not drunk, he had had one drink after getting off the plane.
Something for people who go to all inclusives to think about!!
