Im interested in a millwright apprenticeship in brandon or the westman area.  
 
I know there are a couple companies in town that employs millwrights:  
saputo, hylife, canexus, koch, behlen, city of brandon, maple leaf, etc... but they are usually looking for millwright journeymen.  
 
I could be wrong but to my limited knowledge most are unionized so hiring a millwright level 1 apprentice from scratch who isn't a current member of their union is Highly unlikely.

Manitoba Hydro has apprenticeship programs for millwrights and you can apply online. The one downfall with that program is that you have to move around to the different stations to get the experience..may be worth a look.

with a wife and young kids, I wouldn't really want to move often  
but it is an option none the less
