After probably the worst sleep ever last night I am caving and needs to get a new mattress for my trailer but it really wasnt in my budget this year. However its the original mattress and Im the 3 owner of it so its in rough shape to say the least. Its a trailer queen and I know trailer size mattress are stupidly expensive so I am looking for other ideas and suggestions. I could have sworn someone told me a regular queen would fit on it but it would be too long is this true? Where would the best yet cheapest place to go to get a new mattress asap.

we use an air mattress on one of our beds in the trailer. I love it, as you can make it hard or soft. Single will fit perfectly on a bunk bed trailer, but you would have to measure your mattress to get the right fit for the main bed. Just check out the Cdn Tire and Wall Mart site and see if something like that might work for the interm.  
 
looking at the Cdn Tire site, I know we have never spent over $60, we don''''t need one of the big fancy ones. The one we are using now has been in our trailer 3 years.  
 
We will sometimes put a memory foam piece on top, or in the corners if it does not fit exact. A regular queen size mattress is 80" long.

I needed to buy a new mattress for our camper last year. My husband phoned a few places and many sold them in sets only. I found one I really liked at furniture wearhouse up on the hill. It was right around $400 with taxes.  
 
Ours is a full queen though so not sure the price of a camper queen. A full queen will be too long but if you have the room, it could work in a pinch!  
 
I believe a full is 60 x 79.5 and a camper queen is 60 x 74....

I have added a bit more info to my regular post, if you read it already.

Most RV queen are short. I just bought mine from KDL. I have my old mattress still as we bought our camper a year ago and used the bed about half dozen times and had to upgrade. I think we ended up paying about 400-500 for just the new mattress only. The mattress that came with the trailer to replace I priced at $300. One option could be maybe double up the mattresses, I would be willing to sell my old but new mattress if someone wants. Me being a heavier guy(I'll admit it) I found it was just slightly too thin for my liking.

Easy home or Aaron's if its not in your budget. In the end the price is likely more BUT you can do low monthly payments 16.00 or something and can return it anytime. The beds are nice and new

We just bought a 2 inch foam topper for our camper mattress and it has made all the difference. It was just over $100 dollars bought through Amazon

I bought one at Knapper's Liquidation not too long ago and it was reasonably priced.

Sears.ca - search for Queen RV and you will find them for about $450 and up depending on what you want.

mattress pads that are like a duvet. I put it on an old mattress in my house and I enjoy it to sleep on.

We tried absolutely everything 2matress air mattress bed toppers and memory phone in the end we went to the mattress place (don't remember business name) we bought a pillow top Rv queen mattress about $500. In the end would have been cheaper to do in first place.

Rv Mattresses typically are shorter than standard beds. The quality of camper mattresses are not the best. Our camper mattress did not allow us to get a good sleep. We went to sleep country and ordered a top quality mattress. We had to wait a e days as it wasn't in stock. We never regretted our purchase.  
 
My son put a full size mattress in his camper. It means he cannot walk around his bed but he likes having the full size.

My dad has a similar Issue. What he did was use his old mattress and cut down to size then we hemmed the cut side. It is actually really comfortable now. You might be able to find on ebrandon

We put two quilts on top of the mattress and it works good for us.  
 
If you are buying a new mattress for your trailer, buy a high quality one. My friend bought a cheaper one from the place on the north hill and you could feel the springs through it. The next year she bought a top of the line trailer mattress.

Our mattress was awful. We just bought a gel foam mattress topper from costco and cut the end off. It's like sleeping on a cloud now

We had the same issue, our mattress was horrible. I bought a queen mattress at Ikea, it was awesome but its too long for our camper. It hangs at the end. So I'm going this weekend to see if a double would be a better fit. The Ikea queen mattress was so nice to sleep on that we ended up moving it to our bedroom, and the $1000 pillow top mattress we bought last year is going out. I was surprised on how nice and comfortable the Ikea mattress was for the price I paid. Plus if it doesn't last, I could buy 3 for the price I paid for my pillow top.
