Gear?

Mine too! Right in time for Christmas. If the motor is still making a sound but the thingy is not turning, chances are the "worm gear" has broken. I opened mine up (unplug first!), took out the gears, wiped away all the grease (important to change grease because of the metal bits broken inside), inspected the gears, found the broken part on Partselect.ca - which has a great detailed diagram - for 7$ ordered it, and received it two days later. I am waiting on the grease from Home Hardware - it is called Super Lube (food safe "teflon" grease). Then I'll regrease, put the gears back together and hope that it works! I'll bet that you can get it fixed in Bdn somewhere though if you don't want to go through all that...I couldn't find anyone familiar with small appliance repair where I am. Good luck!
