Places to read a book

I live in an apartment, it would be nice to get out and just read a book. Any recommendations?

Forbidden Flavours on 18th has a great atmosphere for reading books.

Pretty sure Forbidden Flavors on 18th had a little reading room in the back. Could try there. Public library even.

Thanks everyone, i had Forbidden Flavours on my mind too, meeting friends there on Sunday so was looking for a different place, but I guess FF it is.

Coffee culture, the mall, bundle up and sit on a park bench, Brett’s bakery has a few tables and you could get a coffee and treat to eat there while reading?

Forbidden flavours - thumbs up!

Although I love coffee cultures (London fog... yum yum yum!!) it is a rather noisy place, would not recommend for a place to read a book. I used to study/write papers in the back room of forbidden flavours all the time, would be a great space to read a book

There are many comfy chairs to sit and read and a nice area by the big windows that look out onto Rosser Ave. Also, I like to go there just to sit and catch up on magazines. The selection is great!

Indeed the Public Library. As well as Brandon University Library. There is nothing like reading in a library surrounded by amazing books. Or, thinking totally outside the box.... Brandon General Museum and Archives on 9th Street. In the summer time, a park bench at Rideau Park or Stanley Park.

Odd as it sounds, sometimes at home there can be just too many distractions, and that doesn't have to relate to people, but sometimes the idea that maybe other thing should be attended to.
Just my thoughts on it.

public library is underrated. BU lib has lots of noooks...even the university as a whole, like some of the study rooms.

Read at home. I hate it when I try gong for coffee with my friends and can’t sit down at a table because someone is taking up a spot just reading by themselves. Eat your donut, drink your coffee and let the next person have a chance. Don’t sit in one spot for hours and screw the rest of us over

Not like your name is on the table. Its the same as sitting and taking up room talking with friends.
