Looking for anyone who may have witnessed a hit and run outside of 7/11 last night Sept 23 right around 8:30pm. White truck is believed to have backed into a small red car causing damage to hood, grill, bumper and light. PM if needed thanks!!

7/11 cameras didnt cover it and going to check out some of the other places later today to see if other cameras might have.

this evening, a lot of people that go to Sev are regulars and possibly a staff member that was working last night might know who drives that particular vehicle?? Worth a try!

Actually managed to secure some footage from a local business which has been handed off, will see what they can make of it so fingers crossed on this one. Officers have told me that until the claim is processed they won't be proceeding on it on the chance the other party files a late report themselves.

I totally feel for you. I hope they catch no-good blank blank. I've had my cars windows smashed out 3 times. I even saw the kid, but at my age I couldn't catch him. so sorry this happened to you.

I cant understand how they would say they wont proceed incase the other party is slow at reporting it ..... this is a charge "leaving the seen of an accident without exchanging particulars" .... and as you titled it "hit and run" .... wow the police are terrible lol

The police are terrible?? Ouch. I see in your profile you are cab driver. I hope you don't ever need those terrible officers some day.  
 
I imagine they made a report and will follow up at a later date. The person may or may not have even known they backed in to another car. Most people would but without being there its hard to say. If a charge is warranted it doesn't have to be laid the same or next day. Relax.

i have needed them, theft ... took them 45mins + to show. By the time they show ive waisted a ton of time to be told they cant help me cause the person has fled the area, as i was told i was low priority. Dont get me started on this city service, i will say some officers are wonderful and a asset to the community, but others .... well.

I am quiet sure the police are not the cause of the hit and run in the first place but they get the blame for the way things are handled...dare if you do/dare if you don't. Some people expect magic from them and they will fix everything when a situation comes up. The bad guys don't want them either, difficult position to be. They don't make rules but are some procedures to follow that we like or not.

This is a pet peeve of mine. If you were backed into I'm assuming (bad to do, I'm aware) you were not parked in one of the 4 parking spots in the lot. For some reason people feel entitled to park behind others sporadically throughout the lot. There is a reason there is no other parking spots in this parking lot, as this causes accidents.
