Wondering if there were any women interested in starting a board game group? Love board games like Catan, Lords of Water Deep, Ascension,Iillumini and any other strategic games.

I actually haven't played any of the games you mentioned. I'm usually more of a scrabble/clue/monopoly girl but would be interested. All depends on the when and where.

I'd be interested I've been looking at getting into the gaming community, I also haven't played those games but would be up for learning

Most are quiet easy to learn - one or two games to learn the rules and start strategizing

i've never played those games either.. but i'm always willing to learn. love playing group boardgames, i have a couple that are fun but never have a big enuf group to play. needing a risk fix too.. lol. always can reach me on facebook, not somuch on here.

To join the group. I have not played any of those games, but I can learn if they are interesting. Monopoly is one of my favorite. Let us know when and where to start. Yey.

I would be interested except I am not in favour of any group that excludes people without a justified reason.  
 
Why are you asking for only women? I like to challenge my abilities against all players.

Because the OP wants to start a women's group for board games, leave it at that and quit whining about not being included.  
 
If these ladies are meeting in their own homes, I think it's a wise move. Personally I would not want some strange dude showing up at a home where my daughter & grandchildren live. He might have some other games in mind.

This is one of the most sexiest comments I've read in a while. So by your standards women are not capable of having other motives besides playing a board game. Give your head shake...  
 
To the OP sorry I hijacked your thread, but i had to say something about Catmans comment.

Why has everyone turned this into a political matter? Maybe the OP wanted to meet some new female friends and thought this would be a good way to do that and meet people. I, for one, don't care who I play board games with! I don't think most people do, either.

Ahhh-hem *clear throat*. I would like to thank everyone who responded . Addressing the hot topic - women only - I could lie and give you an elaborate scheme, but honestly, I am 38 married mom who works full time so wanted a mature group of ladies to play games with. Thought that if we had a consistent group, we could learn new games together and widen our repitorie. Also women smell better lol! Just jokes

Good call catman. I wouldn't trust a stranger with my grandchild either. ...... Love the thought of playing board games tho. I think a group started for card games but I never received an invite to actually play lol. All talk maybe?
