Was thinking of flying to Florida to catch a bit of the Toronto Blue Jays spring training in Dunedin Florida. Wondering if anyone has done this before? The Flights are fairly cheap out of Allegiant Airlines in the States. Flights land in Sanford which I think is a Suburb of Orlando. Looking for info on transport from Sanford to Dunedin(car rental) plus reccommendations on budget friendly lodging and things to do in the area. Walk up ball tickets?

If you are not set on only watching the Jays you would have a better time going to Arizona and watching the Cactus league. So many teams are in and around Phoenix. You can fly right from Brandon too. Check airbnb for places to stay. My husband's parents are in Goodyear. Its pretty easy to get around and not terribly expensive. We have access to a car when there but there are lots of rental places at the airport. Someone told me to buy the insurance here however although I don't know much about that.

I have done the Cactus League Spring Training many times. You are correct there are many teams right there to choose from. Being a Blue Jay fan thought I would try the Grapefruit Spring Training circuit and perhaps visit a bit of Florida as well because I have never been.

I'm very interested in learning any info on this also. Not interested in the Arizona league. Want to see the Jays in Florida.  
Would like info on flights, ground transpotation, and possible accomadations other than a hotel.
