    Has anyone done Brandon to Cancun flight via Calgary ?

    Price is right for Apri 15 to April 25 ten day holiday but the layover times are crazy! 7 hours on the way down and 23 on the way back! What do you do with all that wasted time?

    We take the midnight flight to Cancun that arrives at 7am and it works good for us. Get car rental ,groceries and settle in by noon to begin the holiday. On the way home grab a hotel then arrive home the next day rested.

    Hmmm..... That’s alright if you have family or friends in Calgary but I know no one there and I don’t think there is anything close to the airport.?

    On westjet vacations page you can choose alternate flights. We left Brandon to Calgary at 6:20am, got on another plane in Calgary to Cancun at 9:30am...at our resort for supper! Return in reverse cancun to Calgary to Brandon (arrive 11:30pm) Try it out!

    We went brandon to Honolulu via Calgary. Layovers were only an hour or two and was pretty cheap. You have to look for direct flights return to/from Calgary but was worth it
