Just wondering if WestJet is able to board disabled persons or is it still just stairs and if you can't do stairs SOL?  
 
Tried calling the airport...after several levels of answering service, pressed 9 to speak to a person...only to get the another machine. Arg!

and can even go down the aisle. BUT, you have to contact WestJet IN ADVANCE and make arrangements for wheelchair assistance or they may not be able to help you.

Flew to Calgary with my mother in law in January and had no issues. We did call ahead and inform them she needed assistance. The staff were fantastic and very professional.

Are you able to mention in advance that you need wheelchair assistance? Ex. when initially buying tickets; or do you have to call ahead like mentioned above?

I knew it it had to be easy. We've never taken a plane trip together since Dad's stroke.

Westjet has a special wheelchair lift at the airport.

I have used wheelchair service at Brandon Airport; the WestJet staff here were great, asked if I preferred stairs or ramp (as I wasn't confined to a wheelchair, just have mobility issues). I was able to walk up the ramp they put in place. Once arriving in Calgary I was met with wheelchair at the bottom of the ramp as I left the plane and was wheeled right up to the arrivals doors where my ride was waiting. WestJet does not pull up to a gate in Calgary, you get off the plane on the tarmac and it is LONG walk to baggage claim and arrivals doors if you have any kind of mobility issues. As mentioned in previous posts, be sure to call WestJet in advance so the WestJet staff in Brandon are prepared to meet your requirements. Happy travelling!

Someone told me about this thread so thought I would hop in here (not meant to be an Easter joke but happy Easter anyways!) to help answer your question. We are happy to assist with your travel needs and mobility requirements. The airport phone line should connect you to our call centre but the number is 1888WESTJET if you need to add anything to your existing booking or to make a new one.  
We can use a boarding ramp instead of stairs and are equipped to assist with wheelchairs and lift device if required.
