Yes lived in the Bow Valley for over 20 years. Fabulous place to live if you like the outdoors and mountain activities. Downside is the high cost of living - the highest in Alberta. Way, way higher than Manitoba. Affordable accommodation, even shared accommodation, is very very scarce. Main industry is Tourism - plenty of jobs available in the hospitality industry but may not be full time. Don't go without accommodation sorted out.
Check out the Job Resource Centre - they know everything about jobs and local employers. Speak to them before you do anything. Their website
https://www.jobresourcecentre.com/ will give you a lot of information that you need. Read their Job Market review. Do your research and then you'll know what to expect.
Best of luck. It will be an adventure.
