Recently visited this area when we were in Virden. Is there camping available? Or is it day use only? Thanks!

While someone more knowledgable of the area is answering questions, also curious... how is the area for ticks right now?
Did a day trip to Melita for banana photo op and to use the nature trail West of town on the weekend. Great little walk and the path was nicely mowed, but between pup and the three of us we’re at 43 ticks and counting (but who's counting :) ). I get the feeling it isn't just a Melita problem, but hoping to avoid a repeat!

Just day-use I believe.

Adam, we went last week and I guess our tick count was pretty low at 4 for our entire family!

overnight camping.

I do not know if you can be authorized though either. I kind of think groups like boys scouts and girl guides and cadets can arrange overnight but not positive.

That is going a very long ways back in time though.

There is a sign at the entrance to the park that says

"No Unauthorized Camping Allowed Vandalism & Disturbances will not be tolerated charges will be laid & violators will be prosecuted use at your own risk - Virden & Area Wildlife Association"

So my guess would be you probably have to call the town of Virden or the Virden & Area Wildlife Association.

There is a picture of the sign floating around if you google "Eternal Springs" its on Adam's competitor site so I won't link it.

FWIW there were a couple tents setup on the South side when I was there, but not sure what the terms were/how long they were there for/etc. Best thing to do would be to post a question on their Facebook page:

Side note from the FB page... looks like washrooms are being built for visitors!
