Kris's fish and chips is fantastic.
If you are on Facebook there is an "let's eat in the interlake" which has good suggestions.
I'm more familiar with the Grand Beach area but know there is a cute museum in Gimli about their history, the sea wall etc. You are not that far from Lower Fort Garry which we enjoy visiting.
