Anyone stay at the marlborough hotel in Winnipeg looked it up online all I found was older (1year +) reviews that weren't so great, would like to know if anything has changed before I decide to book or not. The more recent your stay the better

do not stay here!  
We had booked, to have the room ready for 4pm. We arrived at 5pm, room still not ready. By 6 the room STILL was not ready, but they let us in to it as the cleaning staff were finishing up.  
There were hairs in the bed sheets, pizza sauce on the sheets, a half-empty beer bottle under the bed, hand prints on the walls/paintings, and a few other things I dont remember.  
Just an all around bad experience. I would spend the extra $20 or so to get a room at a much better hotel in the same area.  
Just my opinion though.

You don't value your life very highly if you stay at the Marlie. Although I am sure the night time entertainment would be very interesting to say the least.

The management just changed there and I hear it's a lot better!

It is such a beautiful hotel....used to be so nice.  
 
If you need something in that area, try the Radisson - I have gotten rooms there for $69 if you look carefully - and it was nice.  
 

I stayed there a few years ago and was nervous. People partying in next room all night. Smelt like pot etc.

I had stayed there recently.. It was a terrible visit. If you cab afford another place maybe try that first.

I walked in and walked out. It was horrible

We stayed there, will never stay again. Beautiful hotel at one time, still neat architecture: but it's past its prime.  
Dirty old rooms.  
Not fully stocked with sheets and pillows (for pull out as requested). Got a small travel size pillow when we called down for sheets and pillows. They were all out of regular size pillows. That makes me question cleanliness of bed pillows.  
Very sketchy area for parking and didn't feel particularly safe day or evening (went to concert and walked).  
Security working front entrance was reassuring and scary at same time!  
Just my humble opinion.

If you are going in for a specific concert you can call them and they usually have a special concert rate. Very nice rooms, never had an issue.

Yep stayed last year. Never again! Pay the extra money. Stay safe and clean!  

Stayed there in the past (like 2 years ago) Definitely do not recommend it.

Treated Wife and myself to a Jets game and stayed there for a night. On the plus side was the location to the MTS center and the food was good and very reasonably priced ($10 Steak sandwich via room service).  
 
Parking was $15 at a nearby lot, my truck would not fit in the parkade across from the hotel. Was told when checking in tot leave valuables in vehicle.  
 
We received a free upgrade to an executive suite which was non smoking when we reserved a smoking room.  
 
2 minutes after we got our food we had a knock on the door and were told we had to go to a smoking floor.  
 
Both rooms were clean though a bit dated and the beds and linen were fine.  
 
There was only one elevator working during our stay which made for cozy rides to and from our room.  
 
During our stay the hotel was hosting evacuees from the north and I am sad to say they were just rude and obnoxious.  
 
When checking out the manager asked how are stay was and I explaind that I was not happy switching rooms 2 minutes after our food arrived. He did the right thing and did not chharge us for our stay.
