Don't have a lot to compare it to but as far as resorts we liked Floridays. Location is excellent (close drive to Disney, easily walk to outlet mall), rooms have tons of space, quite reasonably priced. Not sure I'd go as far as to call what they have a waterpark but the pool area is quite nice.
On a separate trip we rented the place below for a couple weeks. Was great to have all the extra space. Local owner was excellent to deal with and price was quite reasonable. Not so much within walking distance, but with a car the area is your oyster:
