Where is a god place for 3 young couples to go in Jamaica? Looking for good beaches and good food and decent hotel. Thanks  

I went with a group of friends to runaway bay 5 years ago and it was so much fun. I think it was called superfun superclubs but it used to be hedonism 2 haha. ive also heard great things about Negril (on the south side of the island) as far as beaches and obviously, montego bay and ocho rios (spelling?) on the north side, were nice too. if you do go, don't miss duns river falls!

I went to the Grand Bahia in runaway bay twice and couldn't possibly say enough good things about it.  
 
First time was my wife and I second time was a group of 28 friends. Staff are friend food is great they have their own snorkel beach that is just amazing I spent hours there each trip and then a beautiful sandy beach.  
 
Ignore the tripadvisor reviews that say the beach is small sharp stones as that is the snorkel beach and not the main swimming beach at all

We just got back from our 7th trip to Jamaica and our 1st trip not going to Negril. We have only stayed in an all inclusive once and that was on our first trip to Jamaica.  
 
We have stayed on the South Coast before and it's our favorite part of the island.  
 
For the first week there were three couples and we stayed at Bliss by the Sea in Treasure Beach. This is a house that you rent and the staff cooks, cleans etc. They were wonderful, and I would go back in a heartbeat.

It was absolutely fantastic.  
 
The second week we went our separate ways, and my wife and I stayed at the Luna Sea Inn at Belmont, on Bluefields Bay. It is a small hotel that has been totally renovated and only recently opened. The rooms are beautiful, the staff were awesome, and the food terrific.

I stayed at Secrets St-James (in Montego Bay) a couple of years ago, it was great as well. Amazing staff, great food.

If you want to do excursions while there the best place is Ocho Rios as a lot of the best excursions are near there. If you just want to relax and enjoy yourself try Bloody bay which is at the north end of Negril. The beach is better than seven mile beach. Which by the way is at the west end of Jamaica. If you want convenience get one of the resorts right near Montego Bay as it is about 1 1/2 hour drive to either Ocho Rios or Negril. The south shore is really nice but last I heard the only resort there was a Sandals which is somewhat costly but worth it. We have been to Jamaica several times, it is still our favourite Carribean destination. If you want any more info send me a PM with any specific questions.

Rui Ocho rios is awesome!! Know 100 people that have been there and would go back in A heartbeat! Stay on the adult only side.  
 

You have a big question there motomom but you are a little short on details. You are talking to someone that has been going to Jamaica for 24 years now. In fact we are Jamaica bound this Saturday!! We have also circumnavigated the whole island several times. What I need to know (and what rest of the eBrandon Jamaica fans need to know) is what are you looking for in a vacation? Do the girls like to shop until you drop, or do you just want to sit on the beach and chill? Do the guys like to Go..Go..Go or do they like to sit on the beach and chill? Do all 3 couples like to be together and do excursions and explore, or do all 6 just like to sit on the beach and chill. Do you want an “All Inclusive” vacation or do you want to go it on your own?? Do you want to go out breakfast, lunch and supper, or do you not mind cooking for yourself to keep the costs down??  
A few things I can pass along without knowing the above questions. Jamaica is hot. 30’+ during the day and around 26’ at night. If you like tepid temps and cool nights, then Jamaica might not be for you. Also direct flights right from Winnipeg is a huge plus. WestJet twice a week and Air Canada once per week. Also Jamaica is still fairly inexpensive even for us Canadian’s. Beers on the beach in Negril are about 250 Jamaican dollars +- , so about $3 Canadian.

But be careful of the Zika Virus if your going out there and possibly might be wanting a baby in the near future. Kinda a scary thing, and may not be worth those few days in the sun...

Recommend Couples Sans Souci hands down if you're willing to walk numerous stairs as Ocho Rios is hilly, but amazingly beautiful! Close to Dunn's River Falls, Margaritaville and much more for excursions. Been here a week and seen only 3 mosquitoes...so much for Zika worry! But this past week has been rainy and nice warm wind! I think mosquitoes are more problem-some in our summer months. Lots of destinations to choose from, regardless! Happy travels!  
 
By the way, it's an adult-only resort and all-inclusive! No tipping allowed except for the salon and massages.
