Flying out of Grand Forks to Phoenix Questions

Have not been to Grand Forks in over 20 years. Looking for a reasonably priced hotel to stay the night before and hopefully one with a free shuttle to airport. Also leaving car there for ten days, what would they charge?

When we flew out of the airport a couple years ago. Nice modern little place (imagine Brandon's will be similar that way soon!)
At that time we stayed at Canad Inns, then parked our car directly at the airport. If you happen to be travelling with kiddos the water park attached to the hotel is two thumbs up.

Airport parking rates are $48 or $60 per week depending on the lot you go with and parking is nice and close. Seemed like a little better deal when dollar was at par, but we wanted our car right there when we landed:

When we stayed at Canad for another reason late last year they were allowing rooms to be paid for in Canadian at par. Worth a call to see if they still do. Hopefully someone reading this can give you an idea if they have a park and fly option, but failing that the phone call will help you out there too. If you go that way please let us know what you learn for future reference for other folks that have the same question!

Thx Adam. Yes the dollar is not so great now. When I flew out of Bismark the Best Western had a shuttle and kept the car at the hotel for free. Bismarck flight is higher than Grand Forks.

we always fly from minot to phoenix or vegas flights are under 100. bucks one way .leave car at the hotel ...free until you return I think it use to be international inn right across from airport on the hill

The price out of Minot was $100 more than Grand Forks and the flight times were much better than Minot.

if minot is a 100 . more than grand forks than your flights must be free from grand forks

The price is now $50 U.S. Cheaper in Grand Forks than Minot. Changes daily. That is for round trip . The biggest difference are the flight times . I get to Phoenix at 2:59 pm from Grand Forks. I get to Phoenix at 8:58 pm from Minot.

Found a thread on TripAdvisor from someone in a very similar situation. Still hope there's someone out there on here with a first hand Park & Fly experience to share out of GFK, but the links at this link should help get you in the right direction! Just off the interstate. Short ride to the airport. Free shuttle. Good breakfast. All good!

I called around to all the hotels and there are not many that offer free shuttle anymore. We booked the Howard Johnson. WE got a night for $60 and left our car there and had shuttle to and from the hotel. We only stayed the one night there and that was fine with them, we drove home after our flight back. Get a cheap coupon from www.ezmarketing.ca and used that for cheaper hotel rates in Grand Forks. Like I said the hotel was not the fanciest but we had a good sleep and the breakfast was really good, and getting into a warm vehicle from the airport was also a bonus. Have fun!!
