So where do you get these $11 a day car rental deals &;

I have seen these so-called name your price deals for car rentals but every time I Google or search never seem to get any that low . Has anyone ever used Priceline to book a car in the US ? Cheapest I could find was $366 for 9 days with Enterprise in Mesa AZ. According to my math that's not $11 a day . Lol

How any of those sites work, but I rented a car in Orlando through my Costco membership that was under $200 for ten days. Ten days in Hawaii came to around 225. Vegas was cheaper yet.

Hotels aren't that much of a savings, but decent. I have not used their travel packages yet, but pricing through Costco travel is definitely a savings over traditional methods.

Man, we need a Costco here. That membership has paid for itself ten times over already, even with travel to Winnipeg to use it.

We've moved toward doing many of our car rentals through Air Miles as long as available vehicles lineup with our dates. Still have to pay a few fees out of pocket, but in comparing to identical bookings we would've done through Expedia we usually end up netting 20-30 cents per mile towards a good chunk of what we would've paid as a regular booking.

The one thing you have to factor in is insurance. If you're like us and have built in car insurance with your credit card you probably have to find another option for Air Miles bookings (i.e. paying MPI). For the bookings we've done we've found it to still be worth it when you crunch all of the numbers... especially when you consider that we dont use our Miles for anything else and that 10-15 cents per mile is often par for the course.

Do you really save a lot by getting your rental car insurance at MPI here as opposed to down in the States? Would CAA be cheaper?

We have done it through our Avion points with RBC and got an SUV for $235 for two weeks. I found I just had to check back for sales. We got the 3rd party insurance here and found it was considerably cheaper! My visa has the other insurance
