Is it allowed to take magnesium citrate in your checked luggage? I take it for muscle cramps and its in powder form. We're going to Cuba. Or where would I find out this information?

Is there a reason you can only take it as a powder? Perhaps for travel purposes it might be easier to take the pills in their clearly marked bottle? You can check the government site travel.gc.ca for all regulations regarding medications and travel.

I take my vitamins on the plain, but take magnesium in pill form. Never an issue. I also drink Tonic Water on the flight, the Quinine in the tonic is also a muscle relaxant. If in doubt call the airline.

Check first on the website with the airline you are flying with.

If it's in the original packaging/container and it is in your checked luggage, you should be ok.

When in doubt, check with your carrier.
