What are the best things to do or see in West man? What would you show someone who has never been here before? It could be a certain store like Lady of the Lake or the Little Shoppe, or your favourite restaurant like Benny's in Shoal Lake, or a place like the Spirit Sands at Sprucewoods Park, or an activity like x-country skiing the Pinochetty Trail. Let's be specific, like a certain trail not just Riding Mountain, etc.

Drive to souris and go to woodfire deli, the dock - supporting local growers and farmers. Discovery centre. Rivers gas station that has the best wings. Get an austidog in birtle. Go to a meat draw at a legion. Go to carberry! cVM best Chinese, also summer shack and robins nest on the highway. Spruce woods park and on, clear lake, oak lake beach, golf etc

What we find enjoyable around Westman could be awful for someone else. It varies on the other person(s) interests. Personally, we enjoy the flea markets, music festivals, trade shows, quaint restaurants, crows general store and attending local area antique sales. Making time to shop/browse at the Green Spot, Lady of the Lake, and the Little Shoppe is always enjoyable too.

If you are going to lady of the lake and little Shop. Don't forget dundee designs in Alexander.  
 
Antique shops.... go to carberry, rivers, and the one just north of bdn on #10, just before the airport.  
 
Touristy sites.... international peace gardens at the border, Souris swinging bridge.  
 
Hikes.... Brandon hills path, carberry sand dunes.  
 
Statues..... boissevain turtle, I forget where the huge banana is.  
 
I am sure there are many, many more of each but that is all that comes to mind at the moment.

Crowes General Store - for a nice evening of looking around and ice cream.

This is my favorite time of year to go to Minnedosa Beach. Beautiful fall walk around the beach, campground area and awesome fall sight of leaves turning color across the lake.  
FML - I believe the big banana is in Melita.
