Just wondering if anybody has been visited London, UK in December? Does it worth the time any money being there in December or I should wait until spring or summer?

Several years ago, spent almost a month in London and part of Northern Wales. I wouldn't do it again. The weather is cold and damp, it didn't matter what kind of jacket I wore, I was cold most of the time. I don't know if you're planning on staying in hotels while you are there - they are probably fine. But I mostly stayed with friends and the lack of central heating and hot water was shocking to me! I guess they are used to it but I found it not to my taste, lol. Also, I was there over Christmas and found that a lot of places (including castle tours) actually shut down over Christmas and New Year's, so I missed out on seeing those.  
Don't get me wrong, still very glad I went but next time would do so in the warmer months!

I was in London years ago in December. Lots of areas were very Christmasy so it was quite pretty. Sun goes down at like 3:30 or 4 in the afternoon though. I went again in May another year and that was a great time to go.

Thank you very much for the responds. I can decide much better with your comments. It seems that I better wait for warmer weather.
