There were 6 Monster trucks there. 2 of the trucks had first time drivers in them that looked like they needed a couple more drivers ed lessons before they could get their licences. 3 trucks broke down with mechanical issues while we were there. The intermission was made longer and the announcer was obviously going on and on to buy some time for the mechanics to try and get the trucks back up and running. I went to this show with my 13 and 15 year old sons. They wanted to leave before the first intermission. When they were younger we went to the monster trucks that were held in the keystone center. That show was awesome, and even though they were quite young at the time they still remember it. 2 of the six drivers couldn't handle the trucks, too much commentary and lots of mechanical issues made this show a bust for us. went to both of those shows as well in May of 2008. One truck broke the front tire off in the first show (Bearfoot), then the other only had 1 wheel drive at the end of the second show (Martial Law).
It was a good show as well.
Other than Rockstar missing racing to get repaired, Canadian Tough Guy had a suspension issue that was rectified prior to his next round of racing, and Crude Behavior had the engine shutdown after hitting the truck pile in freestyle.
Monster Jam in Winnipeg also has lots of talking, breakdowns, rollovers. That's the same with all monster truck shows.
Your just expecting nothing but perfection in an event where things not planned happen.
