I had a wii for about 6 months. Sold it due to lack of good, decent games.  
 
Of course, for the casual gamer it's fine. And the "Miis" are cute, however XBox will answer that with their newest Dashboard update, allowing users to create their own , more detailed, "Avatars." This is OBVIOUSLY a copy of the Miis, however, now the casual gamer can experience all the latest and greatest of gaming for less than the Wii.  
 
 
Also, if the motion controller is still your reason for owning a wii, Microsoft has been producing a Wii-Like motion controller, however at this time it's only been created for one game. More games are rumored to follow.
