A sad day for Nintendo
7/13/2015 at 4:43 PM
In case you haven't already heard, Nintendo CEO and president Satoru Iwata passed away this weekend after battling a bile duct tumor. Personally, I'm finding it hard to accept, but I'm not surprised. He had surgery to correct it and we all thought that he was going to be okay. However, when Nintendo was a no-show at various events, I was starting to think all was not well in the house of Mario. However, we must try and move on. We'll always remember the fun times we had with him and as long as we keep his memories alive, he'll still be with us in some way or another, even though his body has perished and returned to the earth. Here's a quote from 10 years ago that still hits home for me:
"On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer." - Satoru Iwata
And here's another that was posted not too long ago.
"Video games are meant to be just one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone!" -Satoru Iwata
So how did Iwata change the way you played games?
