New Years resolution was to wean myself from the Trump reality show, lasted about 12 hours. I've learned in the last week that he's not only a genius, but a very smart genius, and just when you think you've heard it all, then he out does himself.  
United we stand, divided we fall, who's he working for.  
As for Twitter, I can get in enough trouble on here, and we all knows how he handles criticism.  
Maybe the only one still following what's happening down there and just had to vent.

is he a stable genius, he's the best and greatest at EVERYTHING!! And getting the best ratings of any President, event though his Approval rating in the 30's. No matter how you try to ignore the train wreck that's happening, you just keep going back.

Immigration is a huge part of the growth of both Canada and the United States, and in no wise should that be shut down. But I do believe now is a very different time than over 100 years ago, to just let anybody and everybody in could, and more than definitely would, be a grave mistake. I do not see a problem with monitoring who comes into our countries.  
 
Times and people are very different than when that poem was written.

He may be guilty of using colorful language, but he won't be the first president who has while the cameras weren't rolling. Every country does have the right to decide who they want to let in to their country. I agree, very important these days. There is also nothing wrong with being in favor of a merit based immigration policy.

I doubt anyone would question a proper vetting of new immigrants, but there is always the boggy man behind the door that we must fear. I wonder about after the First World War where there was the potential of Bolsheviks bringing there ideas to America, or maybe after the Second World War where there was the possibility of members of the German armed forces or even German civilians coming to North America, they could have been harbouring hatred to the west, but they came. I think if one looks at the American space program one would find many of the enemy working on that program after the war.  
Really it is not the vetting program that causes a concern, it is a person who speaks without thinking, and maybe we''ve got president Trump because of what thriplethreat said, behind closed doors people are not what they appear to be in public. I guess if that is what we expect then maybe that is what we get.  
Here is a concern that maybe is just in my mind, but when you look at the comments made by President Trump yesterday, the danger may not come from those outside the country.  
Now it would be improper to ask me this of others, but to make a point I will ask the question of myself. Let''s say that in conversation with another person the question was asked, "Don what sh*thole (sh*thouse) did your ancestors crawl out of?"  
Now tell me what your response would be if you were asked such a question.  
The concern had very little to do with immigration, but more along the thinking of Roy Moore who stated that the last time things were great in the US was when slavery still existed. My idea of "making America Great" involves moving ahead not back.

I have my own opinions and am just glad he is the usa pres. if travelling to the usa remember to be respectful and not give an opinion especially at the border or you may get turned away as not acceptable to travel into the usa. I have my opinion not much different than what is listed and have neighbors in the usa that for unknown reasons love trump. then again I have cdn friends who also only listen to fox news and also love trump. there is no reasoning with fox news lovers and they don't care about foreign policies or immigration or anything else for that matter and will not change their opinion on trump. So short answer is just be respectful.

at the border entering the US what your politics are or what you think of Trump and you are turned away because of your response then the US has just become another cuba or russia or any other ultra right dictatorship or totalitarian regime.

Just curious about how other people see him.  
Also going to make a comment about Fox News. I do watch Fox News and watch it the same way I watch CNN, I usually dismiss most of what the commentators ramble about, but do listen to many of the elected officials that are on both channels. In both parties there are great people who want to make the country great, and then there are those who are so tied to political ideology that they are incapable of thinking for themselves, that goes for both parties.

Couldn't agree more You have to watch both side s to a story to be well informed as the main stream media today does not ,and only shows what their opinions reflect. most of the Main stream media is so Bias that you can't believe everything you see on CNN and MCNBC Which if you ask me are far worse than Fox news. Fox news will at least call out trump for doing something wrong where the other news sources won't say when he's done something good. Everyone Knows trump is a buffoon he always has been.

Though it's likely been said many times already, I'm fed up with the circus. It's better than it was for the first few months of last year. But it really is all too much. Not just Trump himself, but listening to other people.  
 
It seems that everyone has an opinion on the media these days. Though the people making accusations at the //mainstream\ liberal media tend to feel no need to question their right-wing sources.  
 
All in all, it's a dark time in our history.  
 
The delusional think they can escape the inevitable (technology-based obsolescence) by turning to protectionism. And to boot, the simple-minded think that just because the whole thing hasn't yet fallen apart is a sign that all is well.  
 
Give it a few years. When faced with a thousand cuts, the end result may not be immediate, but its no less inevitable.  
 
This is what happens when people don't think long-term. People on all sides of the spectrum.

like him or not trump has done something in life , i have talked to yankees that like him , feel that he is delivering on his promises in spite of opposition from both houses . what has justin accomplished except photo ops and part time drama teacher ? i would have to agree with farmer mike

Trump lets you know where he stands, and to be truthful the majority of Americans think just like him. Trudough has his opinions and if you disagree you are immediately dismissed. if you don't want Isis fighters returning he will call you islamaphobic. Trudough is a trust fund playboy taking selfies around the world on our dime.

I'm not sure how this turned into a thread about who one would rather have as a leader, Trump or Trudeau. I will say this. I don't at all care for the path Trudeau has taken our country, and I hope he ends up being a one term PM. I wouldn't for a moment trade Trump for Trudeau though.  
 
Trump is not the sort of man I could look to and say "there goes a great man". In fact, in my mind he falls short in so many of the qualities I would expect to see in one holding an elected position such as POTUS, I shake my head in wonderment as to how he was ever elected in the first place. Maybe simply the result of people seeing the need for change at any cost. Again, my hope is for a one term President.

is so full of himself. Claiming he's the best ever, knows more than anyone else including his own generals, scientists, everyone. He's a narcissist of the worst kind and he's in-charge of the US. What the heck is a stable genius anyways? He wasn't a self-made billionaire either, he inherited his grand-father and fathers real estate business. This also is not the first time he tried for President, he tried in 2000 for the Reform party.  
 
I would take any of our all of our past Prime Ministers and current one over that lunatic. I have zero party allegiance and will vote for whoever I feel is the best, weather Liberal or Conservative or NDP.
