Yes, but I doubt you’ll see them significantly smaller. The Jacto Uniport 500 Planter (which is the one I referenced to earlier) still has a 470hp engine. They’ll burn leas fuel no doubt, but it’ll still be a lot of fuel.

Will be more beneficial to follow progress by the major manufacturers. I think it was agco that was prototyping a front wheel assist hybrid drive tractor using a significantly smaller diesel electric power plant which then made it possible to eliminate hydraulic equipment functions replacing them with more efficient electric motors and to increase efficiency in the pro drive line using electric rather then mechanical drive. Small efficiency gains are what will reduce our footprint and reduce dependancy on fossil fuels along with changing agricultural practices.  
The Uk government is already committing to farmer buy outs and ‘rewilding’ and reforestation of agricultural land , expect to see more of this in the future.

After the pipeline is built, it is only good for maybe 35 jobs and the tax revenue for the municipalities/counties that it cuts through en route. Hardly the shot in the arm that is being proposed. And a very big headache once the sucker bursts (be it soon, or later).  
 
Obama cancelled it, Cheeto restarted it, and Biden kiboshed it again. Good riddance.  
 
The tarsands are obsolete anyway. And I fear that those that can't see that are not going to until it's too late.

there is a company in bc that makes turbines for windmills but sells most of them to overseas back when harper was in power the company doesnt have the sales in canada so should we be puting more windmills up the states are going pull ahead of canada if we dont stop relying on strictly oil so train more people in oil sector that is slow to this electrical technology that wont be out of work there was a mayoral election in brandon few years back wanted somewindmills up but got voted out

And after an obsolete pipeline is abandoned by the company it will be left to rot in the ground until it leaks the dregs left in it. By that time the company is long gone and usually claimed bankruptcy so any environmental damage and pollution plus clean up becomes the responsibility of the taxpayer and potentially can leave the landowner liable and having to live with the mess.

It's not like there are no pipelines already carrying oil south to the US. TransCanada already have multiple pipelines carrying oil south. How many more bloody pipelines do we need?
