This is getting ridiculous. You know how many people have died of the swine flu in New York? 10. Know how many died of the seasonal flu? 2000. Canadian numbers are similar. As are ALLLLLLLLLLL the numbers. Its a joke!
Now we SHOULD be concerned about a pandemic, a real pandemic is due. Millions of people very well could die in a serious pandemic.
But Bird flu, SARS, H1N1, we keep on freaking out so much on each one of these that by the time a serious pandemic arrives, we'll all be too bloody jaded to notice the danger.
God know's I'm becoming more cynical with each passing "Viral threat" that turns into a "Pharmaceutical Cash Cow".
And in the meantime I have to deal with these idiotic fearmongering broadcasts. If you're trying to scare us, I wanna hear about LIGHTENING strikes. Meteors that flatten people. Cow tipping gone wrong!
Arrghhh!
