Well Mother nature has reminded us who is boss. One Volcano in Iceland with a long friggin name so I will only use this name once called Eyjafjallajokull is causing Grief to vacationers/mail/shipping etc all over Europe.  
 
If this happened in North America the impact would be huge!  
 
First those on the left would blame Harper hehehe. Anyways this event may go on for a long time over there. It does go to show how dependent we are on air travel!. The Trains are booked solid till Monday the roads are filling up all over the EU.  
 
I wonder if we have a back up plan on this side of the planet??  
 
Also why was a similar event (MT St Helens) in the States not a flight stopper like this one is?? I know the ash this time is different re the Ice that it had to blast through when it erupted but the complete shut down of most of Europe compared to a safe distance air traffic was told to avoid around St Helens!
