Question about Gulf Coast Oil Spill

So I have been following the huge, ongoing spill occuring down south. My question is, what is with the orange blobs in the pictures? I have tried to google it, but to no avail.
I realize this isn't that big of a thing, it is just driving me nuts! Any ideas what this is?
